Nowhere Far reflects Nicholas Hughes's continued concern for humanity’s relationship with nature — how humans both destroy and find inspiration from their natural surroundings. Especially prominent through the book are images of sea and sky, and spaces untouched by the human hand. The monograph includes work from six series produced over the past fifteen years, as well as a foreword by Brett Rogers, director of the The Photographers' Gallery, London; an essay by Martin Barnes, senior curator of Photography at the V&A Museum; and an essay by novelist Jay Griffiths.
